A crazy, black and white female Basenji. Layla was born on September 24th, 1998. She was born at night. Hence the name Layla, which means born at night. It also is an Egyptian name, where her breed began.

Fun Facts:
Layla can jump. And I
mean jump! We have found
her on top of our kitchen
counter!
Layla is fast! I mean
greyhound fast! There are
races for Basenjis.
Layla is a genius. She'll
pretend she is going potty
just to smell the roses
longer.
Layla is a "barkless dog." She
will make a distinctive yodel
that always makes you smile.
Layla got a bad report card
for her latest stay at the
Vet. They refuse to keep
her next time. I'm so proud.
More about my pet:
Basenjis are a breed that date back over 4,000 years. These are
the dogs of the Pharoahs. You may recognize them from the
pose of their paws straight out and their large, pointed ears being
erect. They were stationed to the left and right of the great
Pharoahs. They are immortalized in the likeness of the God
"Anubis, Weigher of Hearts." Basenjis are usually red and
sometimes tri-colored.
