ROUTE 66 - THE MOTHER ROAD
"If you ever plan to motor west, travel my way, the highway that's the best. Get your kicks on Route 66!" - Chuck Berry Song
It once stretched from the bustle of Chicago to the dreams of Hollywood, California.  A 2,400-mile route of romance, adventure, craters and petrified forests.  John Steinbeck called it the Mother Road, and indeed it was.  Route 66 was a lifeline through much of America, connecting the small midwestern towns of Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas, with the big cities of Los Angeles and Chicago.  Now it is a dusty back road snaking around a superhighway.  A stretch of dreams that is a crumbling, rumbling museum to a time that should never be forgotten.
