| WATSON LAKE When: 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Daily May-September. 7 a.m.-dusk October-April. Where: 4 miles north of downtown Prescott, off Arizona 89. From Courthouse Plaza, drive east on Gurley Street about 1.2 miles. Turn north and go about 3.5 miles on Arizona 89. Enter the traffic circle, then take the first right and proceed into the park. Size: About 380 surface acres. Facilities: Restrooms, picnic tables, ramadas, grills, fish-cleaning stations, playground equipment, boat ramp. WILLOW LAKE AND WILLOW CREEK PARK When: 7 a.m.-10 p.m. daily May-September. 7 a.m.-dusk October-April. Where: 3181 Willow Creek Road. From Courthouse Plaza, drive north on Montezuma Street, which curves west and becomes Whipple Street about a mile north of the plaza. About three-quarters of a mile farther, turn north on Willow Creek Road and proceed about 4 miles to the park, which is just north of the junction of Willow Creek and Willow Lake roads. Size: About 400 surface acres. Facilities: Picnic tables, ramadas, restrooms, fish-cleaning stations, boat ramp, playground area, several softball fields. |
